How SalesGhost provides real-time guidance on customer calls
Answers from your help docs during live customer calls
SalesGhost recognises the questions a customer asks on a live call: a setting, a limit, a price, a renewal term. Answers come from your help docs and the specs you upload, with the source shown. Coaching for a renewal pushback draws on your battle cards or on the conversation itself, and can be switched off.
- Give SalesGhost the root URL of your help docs and it reads them page by page; upload the PDFs and specs that are not public
- Re-run the scrape after a release so answers reflect what is live
- Company context describes your customers and tone, and shapes how suggestions are phrased
“We need to think about it and come back to you.”
Sarah · VP SalesPre-call context for every customer call
Connect Google or Microsoft calendar and the day’s calls appear on the home screen, with a brief when there is useful context: the participants, your recent interactions with the same people, reference links and, when Attio is connected, account context for the people on the call.
- Briefs are generated ahead of time and marked ready
- Previous calls with the same people are found for you
- Transcripts are linked to the matching meeting in SalesGhost afterwards, so the account history reads like a timeline
Post-call summaries, follow-up drafts and CRM notes
Press stop and the transcript lands. A few moments later the recap follows with key points, next steps and open questions. Suggested actions include a drafted follow-up, a CRM note when your CRM is connected, and saving what the customer told you to knowledge, so the next call already knows.
- Ask the transcript what was left unanswered or what the customer asked for
- With your CRM connected, copy the CRM note into the account record in one paste
- Save a customer requirement to knowledge so it surfaces on the next call
Also worth knowing.
One setup with sales
Customer success and sales share the organization knowledge base and battle cards, so the answer after the handoff matches the one before it.
Any call through the computer
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles and diallers. It works whoever is sharing their screen, because it listens to audio.
Private to you
No bot joins the meeting and the overlay is excluded from screen share by default. Newer macOS capture APIs can weaken that, so test it with a colleague if it matters.
Sourced answers
Answers about your product come from your knowledge base and show their source. Automatic cards never use the web; a typed question may look up public facts when your knowledge cannot answer.
Questions customer success teams ask
Does SalesGhost score account health or predict churn?
No. SalesGhost does not monitor usage, score accounts or forecast renewals. It helps during the call, with answers and battle cards, and after it, with the recap, next steps and follow-up. Pair it with whatever you already use for account health.
Can customer success and sales share one knowledge base?
Yes. Sources added at organization scope are shared with everyone in the organization, so both teams answer from the same help docs and pricing. Personal sources stay with the person who added them. Members see their own calls; workspace owners and admins can review calls made in the workspace.
Does it work on onboarding and implementation calls, not just sales calls?
Yes. SalesGhost works on any call that plays audio through your computer. Factual answers from your documentation are usually what these calls need, and coaching suggestions can be switched off in preferences.
How do we keep answers current after a release?
Re-run the website scrape so the help center content is refreshed, and replace uploaded documents that changed. Remove the old version rather than keeping both, because two sources that disagree make answers hedge.
What does the customer see?
Nothing joins the meeting and nothing appears in the participant list. The overlay is excluded from screen share by default; newer macOS capture APIs can weaken that protection, so run a quick test with a colleague if invisibility matters for your setup.
Answer it on the call. Hand off nothing by memory.
