Install SalesGhost and sign in
Updated 8 July 2026
SalesGhost is a native desktop app for macOS 14.2+ and Windows 10/11. Installation takes about a minute on either platform.
Download
Get the installer from the download page — it detects your platform and offers the right build. If you're grabbing it for a colleague, both the Mac and Windows downloads are on the same page.
Install on Mac
- Open the downloaded file
- Drag SalesGhost into your Applications folder
- Launch it from Applications (or Spotlight)
The app is signed and notarized, so macOS opens it without warnings. On first launch you'll be walked through the two permissions SalesGhost needs — microphone and system audio.
Install on Windows
- Run the downloaded MSI installer
- Follow the prompts — the defaults are fine
- Launch SalesGhost from the Start menu
Windows captures system audio out of the box, so the only permission you'll see is the microphone prompt when you start your first session.
SalesGhost signs you in through your browser:
- Click Sign in in the app
- Your browser opens a secure hosted sign-in page
- Enter your work email and complete the flow
- You're bounced back to the app, signed in
Use your work email rather than a personal one — if your company already has a SalesGhost organization, signing in with your company email connects you to it automatically, including any shared knowledge your team has set up.
Stuck on the browser handoff? If the browser finishes but the app doesn't pick it up, make sure the app is still running, then try signing in again. Corporate browsers that block pop-ups or redirects are the usual culprit — a different default browser often fixes it.
Updating
You never need to check for updates. SalesGhost downloads them in the background and, when one is ready, shows a small Restart to update pill in the app. Click it whenever convenient — the app deliberately never interrupts you with an update during a call. If you ignore the pill, the update simply applies the next time you quit and reopen.
Reinstalling
If you ever need a clean start:
- Quit SalesGhost fully (Cmd+Q on Mac; close it from the system tray on Windows)
- Mac: drag SalesGhost out of Applications to the Trash. Windows: uninstall it from Settings → Apps
- Download a fresh copy from the download page and install as above
- Sign in again with your work email
Your transcripts, knowledge base, and settings live in your account, not on the machine — reinstalling doesn't lose anything. On macOS you may need to re-grant the system audio permission after a reinstall.
Installing on a second computer
Sign in with the same work email on any machine — desktop and laptop, or Mac at the office and Windows at home. Your account follows you.
